Barnsley Museums was involved with an elephant trail in the six principal towns of Barnsley in 2022. Lydia Caprani worked with us at the 2022 arts’ festival to decorate a large elephant sculpture (now situated in the grounds of the Snap Tin Cafe on Barnburgh Lane in Goldthorpe) and local children and adults decorated 15 smaller elephants (most of which are now at Goldthorpe Library).

All the large elephants were displayed in Barnsley Town Centre in October 2022 before being returned to their permanent homes.
